However, rumoured reports and speculations about Samantha's personal life and getting a divorce from Naga Chaitanya are grabbing national headlines for the last few weeks.

Ever since Samantha dropped her surname 'Akkineni' from Twitter and Instagram handles. Many reports about troubles in their marriage started growing among fans and media. Recently, her absence at father-in-law Nagarjuna's birthday lunch has also added fuel to the fire. 

A few hours ago, Samantha, known for her funny nature and witty character, shared this picture, which is a collage featuring Pitbull dogs. With this post, is Samantha trying to send across some message to the media? Or it was just a simple meme she usually posts on her Insta stories? 

Samantha has recently received the Best Performance Female (series) at the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne (IFFM) for her performance in The Family Man season 2 as Raji. 

In an interview, Samantha was asked about the same she kept tight-lipped and avoided disclosing the reason. Here is what she said when asked about dropping her surname, she said,“I will respond to any controversy or a troll only when I want to talk about it, but not when people ask me.” Samantha further said, “I don’t want to react to any of those things. I don’t like conflicts. Like how anyone is entitled to their own opinion of things, even I’m entitled to mine.”
