Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna lashed out at people who have assumed and said many things about her breakup with Rakshit Shetty
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, also called National crush, has been on a roll recently with multiple projects across all south and two Big banner Bollywood films.
Last year, Google gave Rashmika the title of National Crush of India. She also performed in the music video of Badshah and Yuvan Shankar Raja's latest hit, Top Tucker.
Today, April 05, is Rashmika's 25th birthday and it will be a working birthday for the actress this year. In a recent interview with a leading publication, Rashmika reveals, “This year I will be working on my birthday, shooting for 'Goodbye'. Let’s see could see how that goes as it's the first time that I'm doing it.”
She further adds, "This birthday, I think I just need to celebrate all the work that I'm doing, I am so grateful for it"
Here is some trivia about the birthday girl. A few years ago, Rashmika Mandanna and Sandalwood actor-director Rakshit Shetty were engaged to get married, but they called off their engagement for some unknown reason.
The news grabbed national headlines and also disappointed their fans. The information left their fans in shock, and many blamed the actress for the failed engagement with Rakshit.
Actor-director, Rakshit Shetty was off the social media grid for a while, but had to come back and clarify the situation with a heartfelt note. He also pleaded with fans to stop judging Rashmika.
Rakshit wrote, “You all have formed opinions about Rashmika. I don’t blame any of you because that’s how it is projected. I have known Rashmika for more than two years and I have known her better than any of you. There are many factors that are acting here. Please stop judging her. Please let her be in peace (SIC).”
Rashmika had also talked about her failed engagement. Rashmika took to her Twitter account and pleaded with everyone to let her work in peace.
In an old interview, Rashmika's mother Suman Mandanna revealed the real reason for the separation. The couple were facing compatibility issues and hence decided to part ways mutually and called off the engagement.
Rashmika and Rakshit fell in love with each other on the sets of Kirik Party. The two got engaged on July 3, 2017, and celebrated one year of engagement a couple of months ago.
Currently, Rashmika is all set for her upcoming debut Bollywood project, Mission Majnu, opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Recently, she was roped into another project, Goodbye, with Amitabh Bachchan.
Rashmika also bagged the Telugu movie Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, co-starring Sharwanand, directed by Tirumala Kishore.
