Nora Fatehi’s New Song ‘Sarke Chunar’ With Sanjay Dutt Sparks Massive Outrage — Here’s Why
Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film KD: The Devil faces backlash after its song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ release, with viewers criticising its double-meaning lyrics and bold dance moves, sparking online outrage.

KD: The Devil Song Controversy
The song 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke' from KD: The Devil just released. It shows 34-year-old Nora Fatehi in a ghagra-choli, dancing with a crew in a setting that looks like a dance bar. Sanjay Dutt, who is 32 years older than her, is also in the video. But it's Nora's dance moves and the song's lyrics by Raqueeb Alam that have caught everyone's attention. Arjun Janya composed the music, Mangli sang it, and Raju Sundaram is the choreographer.

People are fuming over this dance step by Nora Fatehi
A particular hook step in the song has gone viral online. In it, Nora Fatehi playfully drops her pallu and then picks it up. She doesn't just do it once, but repeatedly. This specific move has triggered all sorts of reactions on social media, with many people calling it objectionable.
Questions raised over the lyrics of 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke'
Some people expressed their discomfort with the song's lyrics and choreography. Many users called it "too bold" and "double meaning," which is why the song is now in a controversy. For instance, one user wrote, "Nora Fatehi's new song has crossed all limits of vulgarity." Another user wrote, "The lyrics of this new Nora Fatehi song are so cheap." One post reads, "What is this rubbish? Absolutely disgusting. Everyone involved in this project, including Nora, should be ashamed."
Internet users also fired these questions
One user wrote, “Is there even a Censor Board in India? How are such obscene and double-meaning songs allowed in the mainstream?” Another user commented, "Freedom of expression in art is important, but it shouldn't be an excuse to normalise vulgarity. Cinema influences millions of people.”

National Human Rights Commission prepares to send notice
Priyank Kanoongo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), also expressed his anger over the song. He wrote on X, "We don't expect morality from Bollywood, but it's shameful that the Censor Board is licensing obscenity. This mentally ill person is destroying generations with his psychopathic tendencies. We will not let this filth spread in society, we are issuing a notice for action."
