After filing the complaint of alleged physical assault by her husband, Karan Mehra, TV actor Nisha Rawal held a press conference on Tuesday evening to share her side of thing amid the reports of domestic violence.
Karan Mehra was arrested and later released on bail after Nisha filed a complaint following a brawl against him on Monday.
In multiple media interviews, Karan spoke about how Nisha wounded herself and is bipolar that causes her extreme mood swings, making her regressive and angry.
He even stated that Nisha and her brother are behind him to take away a major chunk of his finance and assets, which is not financially possible for him.
In her press conference, Nisha accepted that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder but is not a psycho or ashamed about it. Nisha also accused Karan of having an extramarital affair. On the other hand, Karan stated that the truth would come out if an investigation happens.
"Bipolar is a mood disorder that happens due to extreme trauma and sometimes its genetic. I was diagnosed with bipolarity, and I will not lie about it as I am not ashamed of it. But I am not a psycho. It is a mood disorder. And you all know how balanced I am. I create content for the web, make videos and write about things. I don't have to prove anything," she said.
She said that she had a miscarriage in 2014, and Karan was not there for her support. "In September 2014, I was five months pregnant and lost my child. Recently, I made a Mom's group where women who lost their child can speak up about it as when I lost my child. I did not have anyone to talk about the loss. I wanted to go to my parents and talk to them because it was a massive trauma. In the middle of it, my husband was beating me up, abusing me, he was unavailable, totally detached, and that's when I went to a therapist. Karan had stopped me from going to a therapist. He didn't let me go to a gym. He was very controlling in everything," she said.
Nisha's friend Rohit Verma also took to his Instagram account to share the picture of Nisha, where she looks heavily wounded. He even tagged the authorities asking justice for her.
