Samantha Akkineni, who was once said to be in a relationship with Tamil actor Siddharth, who featured in the hit film Rang De Basanti reportedly feared that her life was becoming hell with him.

However, they both ended their two-and-half-year-old relationships back in 2015. Now, Sam is happily married to actor Naga Chaitanya.
She allegedly made a statement to one of the entertainment portals and said she would have ended up like yesteryear actress Savithri.
This was the first time Samantha made an unexpected revelation about her personal past life during the interview.
Though the actress didn’t reveal the name, fans have guessed that the person she mentioned is actor Siddharth and a few even asked her on social media if she compared Siddharth to Gemini Ganesan.
Samantha further said that she was thankful to have walked out of the relationship only to find Naga Chaitnya, a 'gem'.
A popular website quoted Samantha as saying, "I would have fallen into such a crisis in my personal life, just like actress Savithri. But thankfully, very soon, I realised it in the beginning and walked out of the relationship. This was when I sensed that it could end up bad. And then I'm blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya in my life. He's a gem.”
Reports say that Siddhartha always got possessive of how many male friends Samantha had. Siddhartha had also posted a tweet stating, "Sid had even posted a cryptic tweet in Tamil, which reads, "Nagoor biriyani ulundur pettai la irukara naai ku dan kidaikumna adha yaarum matha mudiyadhu. ( If a street dog in Ulundurpettai is destined to get Nagoor biryani, no one can stop it.)". This was soon after Samantha dating Naga rumours were the talk of the town.
The duo had met on the sets of Jabardasth and hit off immediately. According to the reports Samantha's friends had warned her about Siddhartha's flirtatious nature.
In the beginning, Siddarth, Samantha were said to be seen at many public events together and also visited temples to offer pooja. Later, there was news about their split, due to personal reasons. Both the actors never spoke anything about their relationship after that.
