Kajol's parents Shomu Mukherjee and Tanuja got divorced when she was a mere four and a half years old. Although she believes that she had an amazing childhood.

In a recent episode of Netflix Behensplaining, Kajol spoke openly about how she felt about it.

She said that she had the most amazing childhood ever and she was blessed to have such supportive parents.

She even stated that she was lucky to be brought up by amazing forward- thinking parents who taught her so much about life.

She also stated that even though it was amazing she totally gets how it would have been if it went slightly wrong.

"My parents separated when I was four and a half years old it could have gone very wrong. I have so many friends who's parents are together but not in that space. They have not had great childhoods. I love my dad separately, I love my mom separately and I love them together."
