Dilip Kumar, also called The 'Tragedy King' was one of the greatest actors in the Indian film industry, who justified every money he earned.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar is no more. The actor passed away today, July 07; he was 98. He was admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of Mumbai's Hinduja hospital last month. The actor's wife Saira Banu had been by his side throughout and kept his fans updated about his health.

Dr. Jalil Parkar confirmed the news of his death. Speaking to Indian Express, he revealed that the legendary actor passed away at 7.30 am on Wednesday. 'He passed away due to prolonged illness. He was 98,' added Parkar.

Faisal Farooqui shared the news of his death on the actor's official Twitter account. He tweeted, 'With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui.'

Dilip Kumar indeed deserved every money that he earned in his entire life. He was one of the richest, and he lived a simple lifestyle.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Dilip Kumar’s net worth was $85 million, which is around Rs 627 crore. 

He was the first Indian actor who charged Rs 1 lakh per film in the 1950s. Dilip lived in a grand bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra. He gave his life to charity and prayers.  

This morning, as the news emerged that Dilip Kumar has breathed his last. Many actors and politicians like PM modi, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Rahul Gandhi, Shah Rukh Khan and others mourned his demise on social media.
