Bollywood's timeless beauty Rekha's livelihood sources revealed

Once a journalist and blogger Soumyadipta Banerjee received an invitation on Twitter from a friend to answer the question that had been making rounds on the internet for the longest time.

Many wanted to know how Bollywood's diva Rekha earns a living. She is not that active in films or ads, then what's her source of income. Banerjee revealed some intresting anacedotes about her, recalling the interview with her in 2009.

Rekha and her family has properties that she has put on rent and gets her share of rent from there. Even now she gets a good amount paid in the film industry,even though her screen presence is less, but she earns a handsome amount.

Brand endorsements and campaigns are other sources for her to earn whooping amout of money. She lets people use her face for the billboards or getting photoshoots done. Like any other indivisual she has a fixed deposit. She invests a part of her income in bank deposit, as told to Banerjee by Rekha.

Her staff has been there for her since ages. Her secretary Farzana lives with her and has always got her back, "She doesn't spend too much on maintaining an entourage as well," quoted Banerjee.

She is also a Rajya Sabha member. She is paid and entitled to the perks as Rajya Sabha member too.

She also gets paid for her appearances on TV shows. And earns a good amount from ribbon cutting ceremonies, private events, business launch parties etc. Rekha itself is a big brand even today.
