8 months after marriage, Shweta Basu Prasad terms divorce with husband 'just a break-up'

Actress Shweta Basu Prasad married filmmaker Rohit Mittal in December 2018 and separated before completing a year together.

Bollywood actress Shweta Basu Prasad is known as the Makdee girl; she was in the news when she got married to filmmaker Rohit Mittal in 2018 and later when they got separated months.

Shweta saw many ups and downs during her filmy career also in her personal life too. In an interview with Times Of India, she talked about her divorce and marriage.

Here is what she said, "Hi everyone, Rohit Mittal and I have mutually decided to part our ways and end our marriage. After months of contemplation, we arrived at this decision few months ago in each other's best interest, as individuals. Not every book is supposed to be read cover to cover, that doesn't mean the book is bad, or one can't read, some things are just best left unfinished. Thank you Rohit for the irreplaceable memories and always inspiring me. Have a great life ahead, forever your cheerleader."

Shweta told the leading newspaper that Rohit and her separation was not nasty. She also added that she had seen many married couples who were together for years parting way so when they decided to part ways within 6-8 months after marriage, it felt simply like a break-up.

Shweta moreover said that she was sad, but her family that supported her, "Besides, I think one is his friend or enemy in such situations; I went on to become my friend and I am fine now." 

Shweta recently celebrated her birthday, which her close friends from the industry attended. She is currently, busy with several regional and Hindi language projects.
