FollowIndian cricketer and politician Manoj Tiwary has attained success in the ongoing West Bengal elections. Representing All India Trinamool Congress for Sibpur in Howrah, Tiwary achieved success by winning around 30,000 seats and currently leads by 6,410 votes.

Tiwary joined the race in February 2021. He faced stiff competition from Rathin Chakrabarty of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Tiwary is a renowned Indian cricketer, having represented the side in the limited-overs department. He also played for three franchises in the Indian Premier League, having last played for Punjab Kings in 2018.
As for the overall WB elections, TMC maintains a healthy 121-seat lead over BJP in the state. So far, TMC has won 205 seats, with BJP winning 84. Among the others, Left Front has won just a seat so far, with a couple more being won by other parties.
