- He has become the fourth-highest run-scorer in Twenty20 cricket (10,017) after Shoaib Malik (10,488), Kieron Pollard (10,694) and Chris Gayle (13,839).
- He is also the fourth to score 10k T20 runs.
- He slammed his 200th IPL six tonight, thus becoming the fourth overseas cricketer to do so.

- The CSK openers managed to put up a whopping stand of 129. Meanwhile, having scored a 50-plus stand in the previous two games as well, it is the first time that the side has done so in three consecutive games.
- It was CSK's fifth back-to-back win this season, its third joint-most since 2009, while its record happens to be seven in 2013.
