It was a remarkable performance from Delhi Capitals (DC), as it outlasted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. While the win took DC to the top spot and inched it closer to the playoffs berth, SRH continued to lurk at the rock bottom, virtually ruling it out of contention for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, following the game, DC skippet Rishabh Pant was in awe of his bowlers more than its batting. "It was pretty good bowling... our bowlers did a pretty good job to restrict them. We have one of the quickest bowlers in the world. Pretty happy as the skipper," he told post match.

"Very happy with this performance. We had a good first phase... Happy to start this way. We want to focus on the process," he added.

As for its fantastic bowling performance, pacer Anrich Nortje was given the Man of the Match award for finishing with figures of 2/14. "Obviously, missing out on the first half of the tournament... Personally, I wanted to bring the energy. Looking at the first game of the tournament, we decided it was nice to see some grass. Nice to have some sort of assistance. We didn't have to do too much; just keep it simple. I don't focus on that (taking wickets)," he reckoned.
