IPL 2020: Quarantined RCB captain Virat Kohli is doing this in his Dubai hotel room
Dubai: In less than a month’s time, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) will get underway in the UAE. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has begun preparations for IPL 13 after landing in Dubai. Like all the other IPL players, Kohli too is under quarantine. Here is an update on what Kohli is doing in isolation.
After RCB players landed in Dubai in a charter flight, Kohli took a separate flight to join his teammates.
RCB’s South African cricketers AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn and Chris Morris too have arrived in Dubai.
The South African trio arrived together at the RCB team hotel in Dubai and the video of their arrival was shared by the team on Twitter.
Now, all the players are confined to their hotel rooms. They will be quarantined for six days.
After the six-day isolation, they will undergo COVID-19 tests and then start training for IPL, which will start on September 19.
Kohli, who is known to be a fitness freak, did not let the quarantine period go waste. On the first day itself he has started training.
On his Instagram page, Kohli shared a picture and captioned it, “keep putting in the work.”
The official Twitter page of RCB too shared the same image and wrote, “No days off for Captain Kohli!”
Bengaluru fans are hoping that RCB will end the IPL drought this year. They have never won the trophy in the past 12 years.
