IPL 2020: Here's how your favourite sides sweat it out on September 14
The IPL 2020 starts this Saturday. Mumbai Indians take on Chennai Super Kings in the opening clash.
The 13th edition of the fruitful Indian Premier League (IPL) is gathering enough pace and build-up towards the opening game of the season. As for the teams, they are sweating it out extensively at the nets, leaving no room for errors once the season starts.
On the other hand, the training sessions have become even more concentrated, since most of the cricketers have been out of touch for over six months, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, here we take a look as to how the players engaged themselves on Monday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Chennai Super Kings: Ummmm.... not sure what Deepak Chahar is exactly trying here. Maybe, some type of squat. But, that's not the gym. Wonder where is he exactly!
CSK: Inside-out or straight-drive, whatever you call it, it certainly looks good, doesn't it? Ruturaj Gaikwad trying to remind everyone of Suresh Raina here?
Delhi Capitals: Skipper Shreyas Iyer engages himself in a light skipping session while training. How many times did he skip, you think?
DC: Rishabh Pant, meanwhile, hit the gym, as he worked on his sit-ups. How many times did he do it, you think?
DC: The gym session also continued for opener Shikhar Dhawan as he engaged himself in laid-back squats. Now, that's some workout, ain't it?
Kings XI Punjab: Jagadeesha Suchith seems focused as he aims to bolster KXIP's spin department. Is he the man to watch out for?
KXIP: Meanwhile, skipper KL Rahul is having some fun time during the photo-shoot. What a wink, though!
Kolkata Knight Riders: Can this shot by Nikhil Naik be named as 'Nataraj shot'? Won't be that bad, we guess.
KKR: Not sure if it is a fielding drill or a synchronisation party. Nonetheless, it surely looks intense as the players seem focused. Time to watch out for KKR's fielding?
Mumbai Indians: Hardik Pandya seems determined to hot everything out of the park, even at the nets. What could make him stop?
MI: BOOM! No, there was no explosion, but the yorker machine just hit the nets in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. Delightful!
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Monday means blues. But, AB de Villiers seems to be having some other plans as the cover-drive drives the blues away.
RCB: Skipper Virat Kohli is implying something by this. Any guesses?
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Bhuvneshwar Kumar is already a hit with the ball, but he seems determined to do so with the bat as well. Do you think he is doing the right thing?
SRH: Meanwhile, all-rounder Vijay Shankar is sharpening his bowling skills. Will he make an impact? Also, what about his batting?
