<p style="text-align: justify;">Iyer suffered an injury on the field in the fifth over of Royals’ innings when Anrich Nortje was bowling to Ben Stokes. He was hit hard on his shoulder while trying to save a boundary at mid-off when he dived to save the boundary and injured himself.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The injury saw Iyer groaning in pain and received help from the physio, following which he had to walk off the field straightaway. It was Shikhar Dhawan who headed the responsibility in Iyer’s absence.</p>
