As a result, he is joint third on the list to have scored a 50 and claimed five-for in the same Test on most occasions, having done so on six occasions, along with Richard Hadlee. The record for the same lies with Ian Botham (11) and Shakib Al Hasan (9).<br />- He is also the second most to score a ton and claim a fifer in the same Test, having done so on three occasions, while the record for the same is with Botham (5).<br />- He is only the second player from Tamil Nadu to do so, after Kris Srikkanth (123 vs Pakistan in 1986-87).<br />- He is also the first Indian to do the same at home ground.<br />- It is also his first Test century against a different side, other than Windies.</p>
