Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been doing great as an all-rounder of late, while he continues to make a tremendous impact with his off-spins. Although he is primarily a Test player now, he has been called up for the ICC World T20 2021.

Fastest to 50 wickets and 500 runs
Ashwin was on a roll when he broke into Test cricket, while he was also smooth with the bat. In the process, he scripted the record of being the join-fastest to claim 50 wickets in the format and 500 runs, along with Ian Botham and Jack Gregory, in just 11 Tests.

Fastest to every landmark until 400 Test wickets
Not just 50 Test wickets, Ashwin continued his wicket-taking spree in the format and reached every landmark swiftly until he had claimed 400 Test wickets. As of now, he is the fastest to 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 Test wickets.

Most Man of the Series awards
It was in 2016 when Ashwin had claimed his sixth Man of the Series award. As a result, he surpassed the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, besides doing so in his just 13th Test series.

Most wickets in a home season
During the 2016-17 home season, he bagged 64 wickets in 13 Tests. As a result, he became the most successful Indian in a single home season, surpassing Kapil Dev (63 from ten in 1979-80), while he took his total home season tally to 79.

Most dismissal of left-handers in Tests
Ashwin has dismissed more than 200 left-handed batsmen in the format. Consequently, he has become the most to do so, going past Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan (191).
