FollowAmid a spike in coronavirus infections, the Delhi government has asked travellers from Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab to produce a negative COVID-19 test report before entering the national capital.

The decision was necessitated by the rise in the number of Coronavirus cases in the country.
The Delhi Health Department report states that the number of cases in the national capital has grown to 6,38,173. Besides, there are 639 containment zones in the city.
Maharashtra and Kerala alone account for 75 per cent of the active cases in the country.
The Centre has deployed high-level teams to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The central teams have been tasked with backing up the public health measures for Coronavirus management and breaking the chain of transmission.
The Centre has advised the states to go in aggressive measures to contain the pandemic and ramp up RT-PCR testing.
States have also been told to also ensure that all symptomatic negatives of antigen tests are compulsorily tested via RT-PCR tests and that all those who test positive should promptly be isolated and contact tracing is done immediately.
