BMW launches X5 M Competition in India with Rs 1.94 crore price tag
BMW India has launched the powerful X5 M Competition in the country with a price tag of a cool Rs 1.94 crore.
FollowThe BMW X5 M Competition is Sports Activity Vehicle and is expected to a ruffle some feathers in the segment already being competed by the Audi RSQ8 and Lamborghini Urus.
The BMW X5 M is powered by M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 4.4 litres and 460 kW (625 hp). This is the most powerful of all engines in BMW standard production vehicles.
Equipped with two twin scroll turbochargers, high-pressure injection and Valvetronic, the high-performance power unit inside the BMW X5 M Competition impresses both on the road and on the racetrack: 750 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 13.4 seconds.

BMW says that the M Sport exhaust system and four large 100 mm tailpipes provide a distinctive sound and reinforce the supremacy of the BMW X5 M Competition with the massive, broad shape of the rear.
The BMW X5 M Competition takes driver comfort to te next level with a host of features like the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and active M differential.
The BMW X5 M Competition also comes with a 12.3-inch Multifunction Display touchscreen, iDrive Touch Controller, multifunction steering wheel’s buttons, the voice control feature along-with the optional BMW Gesture Control.
The elaborately designed M gear selector testifies to the attention to detail and is one of the optical highlights in the sporty, luxurious cockpit of the BMW X5 M Competition.
While the brakes have two settings -- Comfort and Sport -- for switching between brake pedal feels, there is also an M Mode button on the center console of the vehicle which offers a choice between Track, Road and Sport mode.
The X5 M Competition is packed with safety features like the Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Brake Control, Dry Braking function and Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function. Adaptive LED headlights, High Beam Assistant and Parking Assistant with Reversing Assistant are part of standard package.
