What is Zeenat Aman's Hindu name?
The veteran actress made some big revelations during a recent News18 event. Zeenat, who was famous for her glamorous style in the 70s and 80s, disclosed her Hindu name for the first time. She explained that while the name 'Zeenat Aman' comes from her father's side, her mother's side gave her the name 'Laliteshwari'.
During the chat, she shared that her mother's name was Vardhini. She described her as a religious Hindu woman who would perform puja for about two to three hours every day. Zeenat added that she was mostly raised by her mother. When asked if she is religious herself, she replied, "I am not religious because I have seen things very closely. My mother was a Hindu and my father was a Muslim, and my children's father was also a Muslim. My stepfather was German. So I never felt the need to follow any one religion. All religions are good. I believe in humanity, kindness, peace, and equality, and that is my religion."

Zeenat Aman first shot to fame in 1970 after winning both the Femina Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific International pageants. She began her acting career that same year with films like The Evil Within (1970), Hungama (1971), and Halchal (1971).
