Veteran actress Zeenat Aman might be away from the big screen these days, but she's always in the limelight, thanks to her active social media presence. In a recent interview, she surprised everyone by revealing her Hindu name and also shared some very personal details about her parents. What is Zeenat Aman's Hindu name?
The veteran actress made some big revelations during a recent News18 event. Zeenat, who was famous for her glamorous style in the 70s and 80s, disclosed her Hindu name for the first time. She explained that while the name 'Zeenat Aman' comes from her father's side, her mother's side gave her the name 'Laliteshwari'.
During the chat, she shared that her mother's name was Vardhini. She described her as a religious Hindu woman who would perform puja for about two to three hours every day. Zeenat added that she was mostly raised by her mother. When asked if she is religious herself, she replied, "I am not religious because I have seen things very closely. My mother was a Hindu and my father was a Muslim, and my children's father was also a Muslim. My stepfather was German. So I never felt the need to follow any one religion. All religions are good. I believe in humanity, kindness, peace, and equality, and that is my religion."
