Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, the opening shot of the trailer shows the presumed dead and the much-loved villain Moriarty asking ‘Miss me ?’, and Sherlock speculating about the threat he is going to face this season. He says “Something's coming. Maybe it’s Moriarty. Maybe it’s not.”

There is a constant air of tension which can be felt throughout the trailer with the introduction of Toby Jones as the new villain.

The cast and crew of the series, who were present at the Comic Con, said that this is probably going to be the darkest season of all and maybe the last one too. “It’s really dark,” co-star Amanda Abbington told the Comic-Con audience of the new series. “It’s the darkest Steven and Mark have written.”

The crew also revealed three names who will be playing crucial roles in the upcoming season.

According to a report in The Telegraph, Creator Steven Moffat said “I don’t know how long we can keep it going, I would be moderately surprised if this was the last time we ever made this show. But it absolutely could be.”

The co-creator of the show, Mark Gatiss also revealed that the shooting will be completed in two weeks keeping the 'really dark' scenes in mind. Season 4 of BBC’s Sherlock is all set to hit the small screens in the UK and the US sometime in 2017.
