- Fanney Khan is the Hindi adaptation of the 2000 Dutch release Everybody's Famous, directed by Dominique Deruddere
- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has stopped shooting for the film
- The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor and is directed by Atul Manjrekar
All stars have been known to throw to tantrums on film sets, the bigger the star the bigger the starry airs.
Now filmy gossip circles are quoting Fanney Khan film’s producer Prernna Arora as saying that beautiful lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too is not immune from throwing starry tantrums.
Aishwarya was shooting for her upcoming film Fanny Khan with Anil Kapoor wherein she plays a glam songstress. Needless to say her character will require some exquisite and grand costumes.
While everyone in the industry dies to be dressed by Manish Malhotra in their films, Aishwarya reportedly is miffed with the designer. She is alleged to have found the costumes he made for her in the film to be not up to the mark, rather not suiting her character. She is rumoured to have stopped the shoot and said that unless her look is improved in the film, she will not resume work and has cancelled an entire schedule.
Her decision leaves two producers- Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and Prernaa Chopra in difficulties. As FirstPost reports, the famous celebrity designer will now rework the garments to model it on the looks of singers like Beyonce and Lady Gaga, making it more edgier and sultry.
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Chopra said: “We were all set to shoot with Aishwarya this week but the costumes were not to her satisfaction. Costumes play a big role in the film as she portrays the character of a diva. She is creatively involved in every detail and since the costumes were not ready, she didn’t want to start work just yet. When I learnt this, I decided to postpone the shoot. Aishwarya wants to look perfect in the film and she will not accept anything that is not up to the mark.”
Apart from Anil Kapoor, the male lead is Rajkummar Rao. While Anil has finished shooting his portions for the film, Rao’s will start when the shoot resumes after Diwali. The film will release in April 2018.
