Interestingly, the film chronicles the life of a dedicated communist named Krishnan and the growth of the Communist movement among the tea plantation workers in Idukki.

A few months ago Tamil superstar Suriya had visited Kerala to promote his movie Singam 3 wherein he accidentally met the CM as both were travelling by the same flight from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram. The superstar was all praises for the CM and said that Pinarayi, often considered as a tough person, was indeed simple.

"He is a simple man. He appeared to me like a school headmaster. When the flight landed here, he waited till all passengers including me to get out. It was a culture shock for me," Suriya said.
