As per a report in a daily, the actress has revealed that she and her sister used to bunk school to be with family and enjoy the festival. They used to live in Chennai then with over 20 non-Malyali families in the neighbourhood. They used to invite everyone to their home for Onasadya. 

The actress reveals she, her sister and mother used to prepare sadya for over 20 families without taking any help from anyone else. They also used to gift sarees to all the ladies. 

Sshivada reveals that its the fun they used to have as children during such festivals, which she misses the most.
