Shubh Mangal Saavdhan trailer: Ayushmann's take on erectile dysfunction will floor you!

The trailer of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which features ‘Sugandha’ Bhumi Pednekar and ‘Mudit’ Ayushmann Khurrana, certainly grabs the eyes, thanks to it unconventional take on a traditionally taboo subject. 

In the movie, Ayushmann and Bhumi are all set to get married - but they first have to come to terms with Ayushmann's erectile dysfunction. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the official remake of Tamil rom-com, Kalyana Samayal Saadham, and is directed by RS Prasanna, who also helmed the original movie. 

Another interesting fact about Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is that it is co-produced by Aanand L Rai, the director of Tanu Weds Manu series and Raanjhanaa. Releasing on September 1, 2017, this is the second time Bhumi and Ayushmann are pairing up after working together in the National Award-winning film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
 

The trailer has managed to walk the very slim line between vulgar and slapstick comedy. The filmmakers have excellently managed to highlight the problem of sexual disorders, which are sensitive yet important topics that many people are shy about. A bit of humour is enough to dispel all those thoughts.
