Bollywood's original bad boy, Sanjay Dutt, has gone through many shades of life from sorrow, scandal, affairs and salaciousness to satiate his desires.
Somehow, Ranbir was unable to pull off the Khalnayak actor's deep voice. However, in some of the scene in the teaser, he was looking like a doppleganger of the Bhoomi actor. The full trailer for the film will release on April 27 along with Hollywood film Avengers: Infinity War.
The video clip reveals that Sanju will narrate about Sanjay Dutt's disturbed life from his drug addiction at 22-year-old to his legal battles, Mumbai Blasts. From AK-47 issue, to his 308 girlfriends (mentioned in the teaser), his days spent in the Pune jail to the days he spent in posh hotel rooms in the New York to begging on the streets for bus fare.
In an interview, Ranbir Kapoor said: "We are trying to show a very human side of Sanjay Dutt, his perils, his downfall, his will to fight... how he handled his mother's death two days before the release of his debut film, his relationship with his father. These were human conflicts in his life."
Sanju also features Dia Mirza as Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanyata, Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt and Manisha Koirala as Nargis.
