Sandalwood actor Darshan's film Yajamana released worldwide today, fans gathered across theatres in Bengaluru where his film is being screened. From hoots and whistles to putting up cutouts, fans did everything for their film star.

Bengaluru: Actor Darshan's Yajamana was released worldwide covering 600 theatres. Fans gathered outside theatres in Bengaluru and other districts of Karnataka to celebrate the release. From bursting crackers to blowing whistles or even putting up huge cutouts, Darshan's fans did everything.

80-feet cutout of the Challenging Star was put up at Narthaki theatre in Bengaluru and fans gathered as early as 5 am to catch the morning show that was scheduled at 6 am. Fans were seen gathering in front of the screen and dancing, while cheering for their favourite star.

Since Darshan is considered as a mass hero, his films are known to ensure good box office collection in the Sandalwood industry. Yajamana's producer Shylaja Nag and music composer V Harikrishna, who is also making his directorial debut, are hoping to make a significant mark with the latest flick.

Rashmika Mandanna and Tanya play female leads, Thakur Anoop Singh of Singam fame, Ravi Shankar and Dhananjaya play negative roles as part of the film.

Director V Harikrishna has reportedly put in over year-and-a-half to make the film, keeping the fans and people's expectation in mind.

The film is 2 hours and 42 minutes long and has five songs. The film was shot in Mysuru, Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Mumbai, Dubai and Sweden.
