FollowMumbai: Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba who has worked in films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bheja Fry 2, and Kidnap opened about her failed marriage with Ryan Tham.
The actress who tied the knot with Tham in 2015 filed for separation five years later.
In a recent interview, Minissha Lamba spoke about her divorce and said that the times have now changed, and people have understood that they have the right to walk out of a toxic relationship or marriage.
While talking to Navbharat Times, Minissha said, "Earlier only woman was responsible for bearing the burden of a relationship. They had sole responsibility for all the sacrifices. But now, they have understood that they have the right to walk out if they are not happy in the marriage."
She further added that it is unfortunate that their relationship or marital status recognises women.
"Divorce is not easy, but when the relationship gets toxic, walking out is the right option. I would like to add that relationship or marriage can be an important part of your life, but it cannot be your complete life", added Minissha Lamba.
In August last year, Minissha Lamba had said in an ETimes interview, "Ryan and I have parted ways amicably. The legal separation has been done."
