Bengaluru: Jail officials have turned down Sandalwood drugs scandal accused actor Sanjjanna Galrani's request to celebrate her birthday in jail.

The actor reportedly wanted to celebrate her 31st birthday by cutting a cake in prison.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru had Sanjjana along with actor Ragini Dwivedi last month in connection with the drug menace in the Kannada film industry.

On October 9, the NDPS special court in Bengaluru has rejected her bail plea and extended her judicial custody till October 23.

The prosecution has claimed in court that Sanjjana allegedly admitted to being an active member of a drugs syndicate and has amassed huge wealth, living a life of ultra-luxury.

The prosecution also alleged that she and other accused in the case arranged parties at star hotels, pubs and music parties at farmhouses, procured drugs from Goa, Mumbai, Punjab, AP, and even from foreign countries and sold them to the invitees.
