This superstar's movie tickets are more expensive than your round trip airfare to Goa

Another Friday, another Bollywood romantic comedy hits theatres. This time, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma try their luck with Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal. Reports suggest that several shows across India are already going houseful.

Considering the film is Shah Rukh's second release of the year after Raees, movie buffs are going all out to pay as much as Rs 2400 per ticket in Delhi and Rs 1500 per ticket in Mumbai. The film pundits are seeing the trends are making bright predictions of enormous Jab Harry Met Sejal Box Office Collection.

Trade expert, Akshaye Rathi has recently tweeted these images and wrote, “This is how we push our audience towards Netflix, amazon, various other forms of recreation and sadly, even piracy. I rest my case.” 

The costliest ticket of the movie was Rs 2400 at PVR: Director’s Cut, Ambience in Delhi. Well, when you add the food and beverage options to this ticket and the internet handling charges, the total goes up to Rs 3132. 

Now, quickly go to Make My Trip portal and check the airfare from Mumbai to Goa and back. Here you can see the lowest airfare is Rs 2981. Surprisingly, we would be served a meal on one flight too, so clearly, the round trip to Goa would be much cheaper than this ticket for SRK’s Jab Harry Met Sejal. 

However, SRK's fans are still buying the ticket. In fact, several of these ‘high priced’ movie halls are running houseful too.
