Huma Qureshi finds her character in 'White' quite silly

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi might be a love-struck heroine in movies but in a candid chat with Asianet News, she revealed that the character he plays her Mollywood debut "quite silly in a lot of ways," especially in love.

Though the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' heroine said that her character in the Mammootty-starrer 'White' is "one of the most vibrant" she has ever done, she could not stop wondering how Roshni Menon, the young Malayalee beauty who meets her cynical middle-aged beau in London, "manages to stay pure."

"Her innocence is literally childlike. ...So she does appear quite silly when she talks about love, about luck, about destiny, about God. But she reminds me a lot of that lost innocence we all had when we were children, (the innocence) that we manage to somehow lose over the time. But she still manages to stay pure, despite all of that! I find her quite silly. (laughs)"

When asked about learning Malayalam for the film, the actress admitted that it was not a cakewalk for her and the one month she set aside preparing for the role was not enough.
"It could be quite intimidating on a set where everybody is speaking and chatting in a particular language but despite that the crew created an atmosphere where I felt comfortable and thought that I gave my 100 percent. After finishing 'White' I felt I couldn't have done a better job," said Huma.
