After the success of Khuda Haafiz on the OTT, director Faruk Kabir is back with the sequel to the 2020 film, starring Vidyut Jamwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead roles. The socio-action drama, Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha, is all set to hit the theatres on Friday, July 8.

Ahead of the film’s release, ‘Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha’, director Faruk Kabir exclusively revealed details behind the film’s action sequences to Asianet Newsable. With Vidyut Jamwal in the lead, the film runs high on action-packed sequences. Interestingly, these scenes have not been designed by any action director but Vidyut and Faruk themselves.

Speaking exclusively to this reporter, Faruk Kabir revealed how the film’s action sequences were designed and choreographed by him and Vidyut Jamwal. This happened after the film’s entire action team got stuck because of quarantine norms in Hong Kong.

“Our action director, choreographer and the entire action crew got stuck in Hongkong in quarantine while Vidyut and I had reached Egypt for the film’s schedule. When we figured that they won’t be able to come, Vidyut and I were looking at each other’s faces and thinking to ourselves what we will do next,” said Faruk.

“At that moment, Vidyut (Jamwal) looked at me and asked if I have faith in him. He said that I have faith in us and we will do it ourselves. And then we choreographed and designed the action sequences,” he added.

Adding to this, Vidyut Jamwal said, “When you take a responsibility to do something, then no matter what challenges are thrown at you, you don’t wait for people to come and help you – instead you just go and help yourself. In this case, we didn’t have a choice; we simply went with the flow.”

It was the self-belief that got Vidyut Jamwal and Faruk Kabir had within them which helped them overcome the challenge and complete the schedule. “The biggest challenge is to believe in yourself. If you are taking up something that you have not done in the past, it will become easier to achieve by having faith in yourself,” said the actor.

But it was not the only issue that Faruk Kabir faced while filming Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II. The situation was such that when Vidyut Jamwal, Faruk and the rest of the crew reached Egypt on December 6, 2021, the main cameraman for the film was also tested with Covid-19 and needed to be rushed to the hospital. This led Faruk to take complete charge of the situation.

“So now we didn’t have a cameraman also. From drama to action, the entire Egypt schedule was shot by me. I got the camera modified, held it in my hand and shot the entire schedule,” he said. The film, ‘Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha’ will hit the theatres on Friday, July 8. Helmed by Faruk Kabir, it has been shot at 54 locations over a period of 60 days.
