Dilip Kumar in ICU after complaining of breathlessness; read reports
Dilip Kumar was hospitalised and currently in ICU. This is the second time that the actor has been hospitalised earlier this month.
FollowBollywood legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital at Khar Road on Tuesday morning. He was admitted after he complained of breathlessness.
The 98-year-old screen icon is doing fine now, according to hospital sources.
One of the hospital insiders told TOI, "He was admitted yesterday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him."
Earlier this month, Dilip Kumar was admitted to the same hospital on June 6 due to breathlessness. According to TOI, Dilip Kumar was then diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion, a build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs and underwent a successful pleural aspiration procedure. He was discharged after five days on June 11.
Dilip Kumar is known for his unmatched contribution to the film industry for over five decades. He has worked in 65 movies to date. Some of his well-known movies include Andaz, Aan, Daag, Devdas, Azaad, Mughal-e-Azam, Gunga Jamuna, and Ram Aur Shyam.
