Actors are seen using cuss words or the F word or double meaning dialogues in the movies to raise eyebrows of censor board and the audiences. For example, Udta Punjab, Go Goa Gone, No One Killed Jessica, Gangs of Wasseypur, Delhi Belly are a few films that made headlines with their raw, brash dialogues.

Now comes to Kannada cinema, last year one film Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu, which is an adaptation of the novel was in the news because the movie had too many cuss words. According to the director,  Suman Kittur the film is based on a group of women from Kiraguru who make men realise the power and importance of women. Therefore, it was bound to have such words as the movie depicts rural background of Karnataka.

But do you think it's acceptable? If not, then why the filmmakers are adding them? Is it to draw attention to the film?

Last week the trailer of Kannada film Srinivasa Kalyana was released on YouTube with continuous beep sounds in the beginning and a lot of double entendres in the dialogues.

If we go through the comments section, you can see some negative responses the video received. Some said dialogues are taken from WhatsApp and are so cheap that they can't watch it with their family, etc.

A few viewer said the filmmakers are spoiling Kannada cinema with disgusting dialogues and vulgar content.

That plainly shows that people are not happy with the presentation of the film or they still can't accept their films to go the Bollywood way.

However, on the other hand, MG Srinivas is a Radio Jockey turned director, who made his debut with Upendra’s Topiwala. The director of Srinivasa Kalyana, says perspectives of our audience will definitely change.  "Like people have welcomed Bollywood filmmakers using cuss words in their films, our Kannada audience will also accept it too," he said.

MG Srinivas said "yes I have received some criticism for my trailer, but it is a big hit among the youth,"

Now it's a fifty-fifty chance that people will really go and watch such movies. Yes, it draws the attention of youngest but not every time.

Like in Bollywood, such movies have become the blockbusters and are still appreciated by movie lovers just because such movies have a good storyline and outstanding performances by the actors. Randomly adding such words don't make any sense and also it won't make your movie hit.  For example Great Grand Masti, Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 and a host of other similar movies.
