One month after actor Dileep was arrested for allegedly plotting the sensational actress attack case, the Kerala police have finalised the charge sheet with the actor as the second accused.

It's been a month since Dileep was arrested and his family and fans remain concerned about the embattled actor. Dileep, who has spent a month in Aluva sub jail, was initially the 11th accused. Pulsar Suni will continue to be the first accused.

On July 10, the 48-year-old actor was arrested, which shocked the Malayalam film industry. Both Dileep and his family members have time and again repeated that the actor had no role in the crime.

According to Manorama News, Dileep recently told producer G Suresh Kumar, “Chetta... the truth is with me and it will come out one day. I am having a bad time right now. I am innocent, and I have been sent to jail for the crime I have not committed. I have a daughter and I can never do such a thing.”

After Dileep was arrested, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) had an executive meeting at Mammootty's house and took a collective decision to suspend Dileep from the association. Dileep held the post of the treasurer of AMMA before his expulsion.

Later, the actor was also expelled from the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK), which was actually founded by Dileep and a group of 64 theatre owners.

The episode has also affected his career too. Three major movies of Dileep - Ramaleela, Kammarasambhavam and Professor Dinkan - have been left midway.

Ramaleela, directed by Arun Gopy, was initially set to release on July 11 but was postponed.
