Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently donated Rs 1 Crore To rebuild a school in Kashmir. BSF tweets and shares the news   

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is known for doing good deeds and noble gestures during the crises. He also been spreading awareness since the COVID-19 pandemic began and helping people in his own ways.

Recently, Akshay has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore to rebuild a school in Kashmir. On June 17, the actor was in Jammu and Kashmir, where he spend the entire day with the Border Security Force.

During his visit he saw a school, which was not in a good shape and stated that he wish to contribute Rs 1 crore for its redevelopment.

Yeaterday, on July 27, the BSF took to their Twitter account, and shared that a foundation stone had been put for it. The tweet also mentioned that the education block has been named after Akshay’s father, late Hari Om Bhatia.

Akshay also attended the virtual ceremony of laying the foundation for the school. BSF’s tweet read, “DG BSF Sh Rakesh Asthana along with Sh @akshaykumar Padma Shri laid foundation stone of Hari Om Bhatia Education Block at Govt Middle School Niru, Kashmir in presence of Smt Anu Asthana, President BWWA & Sh Surendra Panwar, SDG Western Command BSF through weblink today.”

Akshay had earlier tweeted: “Spent a memorable day with the @bsf_india bravehearts guarding the borders today. Coming here is always a humbling experience… meeting the real heroes My heart is filled with nothing but respect.”

On the work front, Akshay is currently shooting for Aanand L Rai’s next Rakshabandhan. Besides this, he has big banner films like Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey,Atrangi Re and Ram Setu in the pipeline.
