Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia passed away on Tuesday morning. His mother's health condition was deteriorating for the past few days, and she died on Wednesday. She was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital last week.
The actor shared an emotional note on his social media page. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
On Tuesday, Akshay wrote about his mother's health condition, "Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help."
Akshay, who was in London shooting for his film Cinderella, rushed back to Mumbai to be with her.
Akshay is currently one of the busiest Bollywood actors with an amazing list of films in his kitty. From Bachchan Pandey with Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi to Ram Setu with Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles.
He was last seen in Bell Bottom, which is still running in movie halls. The film features stars like Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, and others.
