After Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19; 45 junior artists are reported same from Ram Setu sets
Ram Setu actor Akshay Kumar has been tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday and has been taken to hospital today. Now, as per reports, other 45 junior artists have also been tested positive.
Akshay Kumar started shooting for his new film Ram Setu, and he was supposed to begin shooting in Madh Island, Mumbai, with 100 junior artists.
On Sunday, he made an official statement on his Twitter account that he is diagnosed with COVID-19. He wrote earlier in a post, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon."
And producer Vikram Malhotra made sure everyone is taking the test. Now, it is reported that among those 100 junior artists, 45 are being tested positive.
Today, Akshay has been hospitalised, and he made an official statement on his Twitter account. His post reads that he is thankful for all the warm wishes as he hopes to get back soon.
Bollywood has seen a sudden hike among actors being tested positive for COVID-19. Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt have been under a recovery process.
