Indian women booked their first-ever T20 World Cup final berth as rain forced officials and players to abandon the match in Sydney.

The Indian women cricket team with their four wins in the group A league stage helped them edge the England side that lost out in their game against South Africa.

The Indian team no awaits the verdict in the match between South Africa and Australia, to be played at 1:30pm IST.

In case rain washes out the second semi-final too, South Africa will have the advantage, as the side did not lose a single match in the league stage. Australia, however, lost to India

Currently, team India counts on teenager Shafali Verma who put up individual scores of 29, 34, 46, 47. Verma is likely to bag the woman of the series award.

Apart from Verma, Deepti Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur, are likely to make an impact with the bat, while Poonam Yadav, Krishnamurthy Gayakwad and Radha Yadav are in the peak of form in the bowling department.
