Pataudi Trophy 2021: KL Rahul puts India on top on Day 1 of warm-up clash against County Select XI

As a young Indian side is rattling Sri Lanka in the island nation, the senior side is preparing in England for the upcoming five-Test series for the Pataudi Trophy, starting August 4. Ahead of the same, the Indians have begun preparations as they are taking part in a three-day warm-up clash against County Select XI at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.

Tuesday happened to be Day 1 of the game, as the Indians finished on top, despite losing nine wickets. Electing to bat, the top order struggled, with none failing to get enter 30s. However, it was wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul who struck 101 to put India on top.
