There has been no respite for defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI) ever since the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) has resumed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On Sunday, it lost by a heavy margin of 54 runs to Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 39 at the Dubai International Stadium.

As a result, MI has slipped to seventh place, while RCB is up to the third spot. Meanwhile, RCB pacer Harshal Patel has been the star of the game, having claimed a beautiful hat-trick to floor the champ.
