Bengaluru: India’s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of cricket for five days due to an injury, the batsman said on Thursday (November 21).

The left-hander took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to give an update to his fans. He tweeted pictures of him from a hospital and said he will be back in action in four to five days.

“We Fall, We Break, but then.... We Rise. We heal and we overcome, and the only thing you have control over is how you respond to any situation. Here's to being positive and happy in every situation that life throws at you. Will be back in action in 4-5 days,” Shikhar tweeted.

Though Shikhar did not mention what injury he had, from the pictures, it was clear that he suffered a leg injury.

Currently, Shikhar is not part of the Test team. India are set to play against Bangladesh in their first-ever day/night Test, in Kolkata, from tomorrow (November 22).

The BCCI selectors will pick the India’s T20I and ODI squads today for the home series against the West Indies.
