India vs England 2020-21, 3rd Test (D/N): Ishant felicitated by President Kovind on his 100th Test (Watch)

Ishant Sharma made his Test debut in 2007 in Bangladesh. Since then, he has claimed 303 wickets in the format and is currently playing his 100th Test. He has become the 11th Indian to attain the historic feat and was felicitated by the Indian President.

Indian pacer Ishant Sharma is getting better with the passing age, especially in the game's longest format. Owing to his consistency, he has been a regular member of Team India in the format.

Having made his debut in the format in 2007, he has come a long way to cement his place. Furthermore, focusing just on Tests has allowed him to play his 100th Test for the side.

Ishant's Test stats have been impressive, having claimed 303 wickets at an average of 32.16, including 11 fifers and a ten-for. His best figures are 7/74 (innings) and 10/108 (match). Currently, he is featuring in the same, in the ongoing third Test (day-night) against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, before the third Test's start, Ishant was facilitated by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on his memorable feat. Besides, he was also felicitated by Amit Shah (Union Home Minister) for the same. He was given a souvenir by Kovind, along with a cap from Shah. Both Kovind and Shah were a part of the Narendra Modi Stadium inauguration before the game.
