 India reports 16,505 new Covid-19 cases, 19,557 recoveries, and 214 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.  

On Sunday (January 3), West Bengal registered 896 new COVID-19 cases. The total active cases declined to 10,446.
