FollowHealth ministry data said 36,71,242 people were vaccinated in a day, taking the total number of doses administered to 6,87,89,138.

The decision, which was taken after detailed consultations with the States and Union Territories, is aimed at rapidly increase the pace and coverage of the Covid vaccination.Â
From April 1, the vaccination drive was expanded to cover all people above 45 years of age.
