After the 100th Safari rolled out of the factory in February 2021, the remaining 9,900 units of the Sports Utility Vehicle were rolled out in less than four months despite Coronavirus restrictions.

Standing tall in the high SUV category, the Safari has been well appreciated for its design, premium interiors, driving experience and safety features.

Besides, if counted alongside the category mate Harrier, Tata Motors commands 41.2% in the high SUV segment (as of Q1 FY22).

According to Shailesh Chandra, president of the passenger vehicles business unit at Tata Motors, "We are thrilled to have achieved this landmark during one of the toughest periods. The 10000th feat validates the collective hard work put in by various teams."

"The New Safari combines Tata Motors' Impact 2.0 design language with the proven capability of OMEGARC, the architecture derived from Land Rover's renowned D8 platform -- the gold standard among SUVs worldwide," he added.

The new Safari is packed with safety features like airbags for the driver and co-driver, and for the side seat and curtains. It also has an Electronic Stability Program, which Tata Motors claims, offers a host of features like electronic traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, off-road ABS and roll-over mitigation.
