A powerful wave of severe storms has battered southern Brazil, with Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina among the affected areas. Winds of more than 110 km/h were reported in Toledo, while hailstorms shattered windows, damaged vehicles and homes, and aircraft were flipped at an airport.
