WhatsApp has chosen to address the issue and has made certain changes. The app now has privacy settings to discourage users from arbitrarily adding individuals to WhatsApp groups.
Creating groups on WhatsApp was a huge comfort for those who needed to coordinate things for business or events in order to expedite communication. However, when individuals continue to add us to strange groups on a regular basis, it has quickly become the single most aggravating thing. Previously, WhatsApp allowed anybody to add anyone to a WhatsApp group (if they have the individual - contact number). This enabled anyone to connect you to a WhatsApp group, resulting in a lot of noise in a highly private chat service. WhatsApp, on the other hand, has chosen to address the issue and has made certain changes. The programme now has privacy settings to discourage users from arbitrarily adding individuals to WhatsApp groups.
If you have an iPhone, here's how to prevent being added to random groups.

Step 3: Tap on Privacy.
Step 4: In Privacy, a list of choices will display. Then, Select Groups.
Step 5: There will be three options. Everyone, My contacts, My contacts, except people in WhatsApp groups who may add you to WhatsApp groups.

In other news, WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned instant messaging network, includes a payments component, but it is not widely used, at least not in India. The firm, on the other hand, may have thought of a method to modify that. Taking a cue from rival Google's payment service Google Pay, WhatsApp Payments is rumoured to be aiming to offer rewards to customers who use WhatsApp Payments to make payments. According to a rumour on WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the app will soon get payback on UPI payments done using WhatsApp.
