Amit Shah addresses Jhargram rally virtually; promises to set up universities for tribals if voted to power

Amit Shah did not come to the meeting in Jhargram due to mechanical problems in the helicopter. He spoke via video conference from Kharagpur. After the virtual meeting finishes, Shah will go to the public meeting at Ranibandh in Bankura by helicopter.

However, the Trinamool Congress claimed, “Amit Shah did not attend the meeting in Jhagram because there was no crowd present. Therefore, to save the reputation, Shah attended the meeting virtually.”

Shah was scheduled to hold a public meeting at Jamda Circus Maidan from 11 am on Monday (March 15). It was decided that after the meeting he will go to Ranibandh. Shah was supposed to start the meeting from 1 o'clock in the afternoon. But the plan was thwarted by a mechanical glitch in the helicopter.

Amit Shah addressed the meeting in Jhargram virtually. He gave a virtual speech from Khargpur. However, the virtual speech in Jhargram started at 1 o'clock. It went for seven minutes.

Amit Shah said, “I would have been present in Jhargram for campaigning. But unfortunately, there was a disturbance in my helicopter. So, I could not go to meet the people of Jhargram.” At the same time, he assured that he would visit Jhargram before the end of the election campaign.

After giving a short speech, Shah made a lot of promises to the people of Jhargram. He said, “When the BJP comes to power in the state, Pandit Raghunath Murmu Adivasi University will be set up for the Adivasi community. Under the 'Stand Up India' project, Rs 1,000 crore will be allocated for the tribals to become self-reliant.”
