People clean their homes, perform Lakshmi puja and pray to the Goddess of wealth to bless everyone with wealth and good health.

Diwali date

The festival starts on the 15th day of the Kartik month if we go according to the Hindu Lunar calendar.  This year the festival is falling on November 4, 2021 which is a Thursday.

Significance
Diwali symbolises the victory of good over evil and the removal of darkness, negativity from our lives. People give gifts to their loved ones. The festival also signifies that our inner self is filled with positivity.

History
